An elementary school needs postcards from Mississippi for a really cool class project

Two elementary school teachers in Elizabethton, Tennessee, are teaming up on a project to collect postcards from as many states and countries as possible, Mississippi included.

Teacher Lisa Line posted the request in the /r/Mississippi subreddit days ago, adding that their nationwide project was recently covered by a news station in New Jersey.

A photo of the map taken by Line’s colleague David Arwood shows how many postcards they’ve already collected, along with bare spots needing to be filled in.

If you’d like to send a postcard to the school, here’s the address:

Mrs. Lisa Line
1485 Riverview Drive
Elizabethton, TN 37643

Here’s Line request in full:

I work in a small, rural elementary school located in Northeast Tennessee. Another teacher and I are attempting to collect a post card from every state and as many countries as possible! This is to help them get a better understanding of how diverse and large our world truly is! We have already collected around 60 or more countries, but I really want to make this a big deal. If you could please send a postcard to the school, the students would be thrilled. I want to share this project with the entire school, news and other educators! Thank you in advance!
