Tupelo man arrested in connection with shooting after Jason Aldean concert

22-year old Steven Michael Hulbert of Walls, Miss. was arrested on Friday night in connection with a shooting at the Bancorp South Arena after a Jason Aldean performance. Hulbert has been charged with aggravated assault and is being held in the Lee County Adult Jail.

According to a press release from the city of Tupelo, Hulbert allegedly fired multiple shots in the arena’s parking lot. According to the Daily Journal, one man was hit in the chest.

The victim was taken to the emergency room at North Mississippi Medical Center where he was treated and released Saturday morning for a gunshot wound to the chest.

Witnesses reported the shooting stemmed from an argument among a small group of males on the west side of the parking lot. Witnesses said one suspect pulled a gun and started shooting. Four to six shots were reported. The victim, along with multiple vehicles, were struck by the bullets.
