Earthquake shakes Mississippi Delta

An earthquake shook residents across an area of the Mississippi Delta late Tuesday afternoon.
The U.S. Geological Society measured a 3.7 magnitude quake approximately 5.5 miles northwest of Hollandale at approximately 4:30 p.m. Hollandale is in Washington County, just southeast of Greenville.
The quake was recorded at a depth of approximately 10 miles below the surface.
Reports indicate houses shook across the area, including in the town of Greenville. Residents reported pictures shaking on walls, but experts say the magnitude of the quake would not typically cause significant damage.
No reports of injuries or damages were immediately reported.
