New details emerge surrounding the Pike County murder of a woman police believe was killed by her own two daughters.
Neighbors told Jackson media outlets that Erica Hall was killed just days after she took away her daughters’ cellphones.
Hall’s body was found Friday night, lying in her front yard. She was taken to the hospital, but pronounced dead there. She apparently was stabbed several times and had at least one gunshot wound.
Witnesses reported that the woman was drenched in blood, with a knife still in her back. Relatives said they believe the daughters began fighting with their mother inside their mobile home, and that Hall staggered outside into the yard where she died.
Pike County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested Hall’s 14-year-old daughter Amariyona Hall and charged her with murder.
Also arrested is Hall’s 12-year-old daughter, who is in youth court custody due to her age. She was reportedly being held at the Adams County Juvenile Justice Center in Natchez.
Amariyona Hall is being charged as an adult. She was being held on $150,000 bond at the Pike County Jail late Monday.
