Police say a man wanted on murder charges in a man’s shooting in Mississippi has been arrested in Florida after a month-long search.
News outlets report that U.S. Marshals and local authorities captured 43-year-old O’Derrick Mosley in Jacksonville on Friday. He is accused in a January shooting outside a nightclub in Meridian that killed 42-year-old Elgreco Warren.
Meridian police Chief Benny Dubose says authorities are expected to pick Mosley up this week. He says a preliminary hearing could be as early as Thursday.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Silvestre Del Rosario says investigators had connected information from Mississippi authorities as well as people close to Mosley to find him.
It is unclear if Mosley has a lawyer who could comment.
