Jackson Police said a 14-year-old teenage boy was shot and killed Sunday night.

The shooting occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Easter night on Eminence Row.

Hours later police arrested a suspect, a 41-year-old black male, after a brief standoff with police at a Bishop Street residence.

Police are still investigating the matter and have not yet released a possible motive in the murder.
