Batteries are disappearing from parked school buses in north Mississippi and police are looking for the thieves.
Batesville police investigators say some cut the lock off on a gate at the South Panola bus shop and took eight batteries earlier this month, WREG TV in Memphis reported.
Investigators say other incidents have occurred in other north Mississippi districts that may be linked to the Batesville thefts. More than eight batteries were stolen from school buses in Calhoun City.
In Oxford, a security camera caught a glimpse of the suspects at the Oxford City Schools’ bus shop. An alarm was sounded and the suspects fled.
