Inmate with life sentence on run after escape from state prison in Parchman – he’s escaped twice before

A man serving a life sentence for a number of crimes has somehow escaped from the Mississippi State Penitentiary in Parchman. He’s escaped custody twice before.
Mississippi Department of Corrections officials announced early this morning that Benny Ray Blansett, 59, was discovered missing at 3:17 a.m.
Blansett is serving life in prison for uttering a forgery, aggravated assault on a police officers, burglary and for escaping from jail twice previously.
His original charges occurred in Marion County.
