A McComb woman died in a one-vehicle crash in Lincoln County Saturday.
Cynthia Howell Goodwin, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene about 6:14 p.m., said trooper Craig James with the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
James said troopers responded to the crash that occurred south of the 31-mile marker on I-55 shortly after 6 p.m. Goodwin was a passenger in a black 2010 Chrysler 300 that was driven by a 17-year-old male from McComb.
The car was headed south when it left the roadway to the right and collided with a guardrail before it overturned, he said.
The driver was taken to Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb for non-life threatening injuries. Both Goodwin and the driver were wearing seat belts, he said.
The crash is still under investigation by MHP.
