The Ole Miss student whose body was found Saturday morning 30 miles from campus was shot eight times, a Jackson TV station reports.
Citing unnamed sources, WLBT-TV in Jackson reports that 21-year-old Ally Kostial’s body appeared to have been shot as many as eight times. Kostial’s body was found by a Lafayette County Sheriff’s deputy patrolling near the rural community of Harmontown, near Sardis Lake in northwestern Lafayette County.
Kostial was from St. Louis, Missouri, and was studying to obtain a degree in marketing from the University of Mississippi’s business school, university officials confirmed.
Investigators have released little information about the case, which is actively being worked by several different law enforcement agencies.
The TV station reported security camera footage showed her outside a bar on the Oxford Square Friday night, but that she did not enter the establishment.
