Bullying claim under investigation in Mississippi; college football players reportedly suspended

School and local law enforcement are investigating a bullying allegation at a Mississippi community college which apparently has resulted in the suspension, or expulsion, of several football players.
Exact details of what allegedly occurred have not been officially disclosed, but Coahoma Community College outside of Clarksdale.
School officials acknowledged in a written release that they receiving a complaint at approximately midnight on Wednesday from a student regarding an incident of bullying or intimidation at a residence hall.
The college also reported that after the campus police began investigating the incident, the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and that the sheriff’s office is no the lead agency investigating the event.
WREG-TV in Memphis reported that several members of the Coahoma County Community College’s football team were suspended.
