Let’s face it. We could all use a few more smiles in our lives right now as the coronavirus pandemic has our collective worlds turned upside down.

That’s what led Brookhaven resident Sharon Cupit to get motivated to spread a little humor in her community.

Cupit put on clown makeup and a clown outfit and set out to elicit a few smiles.

She visited multiple sites around the city Wednesday in an effort to bring a smile to as many faces as possible.

With her bicycle horn and sign reading “We appreciate you,” and the driving assistance of her friend Belinda Fauver, Cupit visited law enforcement offices, banks, medical facilities and anywhere else she thought workers could use a lighthearted break.
