Police are investigating an overnight shooting in which one man was found dead, his body riddled with bullets.

Investigators with the Vicksburg Police Department responded early Thursday morning to a call on Alfred Drive.

Police said officers were dispatched to a home on the 100 block of Alfred Drive, in the Hillcrest subdivision, for a reported shooting at approximately 3:20 a.m.

The victim, 26-year-old Andrew Prudhomme, was reportedly shot multiple times and died.

Thursday’s reported murder is Vicksburg’s fourth of the year. In 2019, Vicksburg reported three murders.
