A 14-year-old boy was killed and another juvenile injured Thursday night when their dirt bike collided with a car.

Jackson Police report the boy, identified as Stephen Barber Jr., and another juvenile were riding the dirt bike at approximately 9 p.m. on West McDowell Road when the collision with the care occurred.

The second juvenile was injured and taken to the hospital. The injured juvenile’s condition was not released.

The driver of the car, police reported, stopped and stayed on the scene. Police said no charges are pending.
