Women could face felony charges for destroying fountain at Mississippi park

Following the vandalism incident at Pocket Park near Oxford City Hall last night, the Oxford Police department successfully identified the two women involved. Around 1 a.m., the women, amidst a larger group, were captured on security cameras vandalizing the globe fountain. The damage is assessed to be more than $5,000, marking the act as a felony.
The department had circulated the images captured on social media, seeking community assistance for identification. As of 1 p.m. today, both women have been identified, with the police thanking the community for their invaluable assistance. Further details regarding the incident will be provided later, OPD said.
