Authorities are searching for an inmate who escaped a Mississippi county jail Sunday night.
WTVA in Tupelo reports that William Strohm of Memphis, Tennessee, escaped the Oktibbeha County Jail shortly before 9 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3.
Strohm worked as a trusty and had five or six months left on a burglary conviction.
Strohm reportedly escaped the jail by gaining access to the roof by jumping on top of an air conditioner and then jumping over a fence.
Strohm was last seen running north on Jackson Street at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Starkville.
Strohm should be considered dangerous and may be trying to get to Memphis.
Strohm is described as 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. At the time of the escape, Strohm was wearing light-colored pants, a white T-shirt, and a dark-colored coat with an orange interior.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call 911.
