A Mississippi school district announced the arrival of a fleet of electric school buses.

Chickasaw County School District debuted the state-of-the-art buses Friday.

“CCSD is excited to announce the arrival of our fleet of electric school buses,” the district announced. “Buses began arriving this week, and more will be arriving soon.”

The community has been invited to see the buses at a ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication at 1 p.m. Jan. 5.

The district will also host safety training for first responders at 1 p.m. Jan. 4 at the Houston High School Auditorium.
