An early morning fire claimed the lives of a Mississippi couple early Tuesday morning.

The Monroe County Journal reports that officials from the Lee County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as husband and wife, James “Jimmy” Young, 88, and Sandra Young, 84.

Multiple fire agencies were called to a fire at an address on Highway 6 outside the Nettleton city limits.

Firefighters were called to respond to the fire shortly before 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Fire departments from Monroe, Lee and Chickasaw counties responded to the fire, under investigation by the Lee County and Mississippi State Fire Marshal’s Office.
