Two Mississippi teens reportedly playing with a gun Saturday morning turned into tragedy when the gun accidentally fired, officials said.

One of the teens was fatally wounded in the accidental shooting, according to officials with the Magee Police Department.

The accidental shooting occurred at approximately 10 a.m. Saturday at an apartment complex on Raliegh Drive in Magee.

When officers arrived at the scene of the shooting, they found Mitchell Page, 14, dead with one gunshot wound.

A preliminary investigation indicates that another 14-year-old boy was with Page at the time of the shooting. Officials report that the two boys playing with the gun when it was accidentally fired.
