Citizen’s alert to officers about individuals pulling on car handles at Mississippi apartment complex leads to arrest

A Mississippi man was arrested on auto burglary charges after officers were alerted by a local citizen about a group of people pulling on car door handles at an apartment complex.
Oxford Police thanked the citizen who reported seeing something that looked out of place and called the police department.
Quintez Da’Quan Hall, 19, of Sardis, was arrested and charged with seven counts of auto burglary after a traffic stop officers found multiple items belonging to other people inside of the suspect’s vehicle.
Shortly after 11 p.m. on Jan. 9, the Oxford Police Department responded to a concerned citizen’s call about three individuals walking around The Greens Apartments’ parking lot pulling on door handles.
The caller was able to give a vehicle description as well. As officers entered they spotted the vehicle attempting to leave.
They conducted a traffic stop and came in contact with one of the passengers identified as Hall.
Investigators responded to the scene and discovered that at least seven vehicles had been burglarized. Hall was arrested and charged with seven counts of auto burglary, and a county court judge gave Hall a $2,000 bond.
