Although much of the state has thawed out after the recent winter storm, 23 counties are still reporting icy highways, roads, and bridges in the Magnolia State.

With the latest update Sunday evening, there are still reports of ice on roads and bridges in following counties: Alcorn, Benton, Bolivar, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Coahoma, DeSoto, Grenada, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Marshall, Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica, Union and Yalobusha.

“Please use extra caution and take it slow on the roads tonight and during your morning commute in these counties. Black ice is still possible,” a statement from the Mississippi Department of Transportation reads.
