A GoFundMe page has been created generating support for the family of Robert “Roc” Campbell, a 19-year-old from Natchez who was reportedly gunned down inside his vehicle on U.S. 61 in Fayette on Thursday.
His mother, Stacye Strauder Moore, said Campbell’s assassination leaves her family feeling “frustrated and lost.” Her son had no life insurance to cover funeral expenses, she said
“Any donation big or small is really appreciated. Please share and help I would surely appreciate anything anyone can do. Please keep me and my family in prayer as this is a hard journey we are left to face,” Moore said.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office along with agents of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations, and Mississippi Highway Patrol are currently investigating the shooting that took place Thursday at around 10:39 p.m.
Campbell reportedly called 911 and told dispatchers that he had been shot.
Officers found him still in his silver-colored Chevrolet pickup truck in the median on US 61 with bullet holes in the driver’s side door.
Campbell was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to several gunshot wounds.
Three suspects, including two 17-year-olds and a 20-year-old whose names were not released, have been taken into custody, the sheriff’s office said, adding investigations are ongoing.
Phone calls and messages to Jefferson County Sheriff James Bailey and MBI press secretary Bailey Martin have not been returned.
