Small Mississippi town, school mourns the death of teen in vehicle accident

A small Mississippi town is mourning the death of a high school student who was killed in a vehicle accident Friday morning.
Action News 5 in Memphis reports that Cutter Crass, a junior at Marshall Academy in Holly Springs, was killed in a crash shortly before 10 a.m. on Duck Pond Road near Highway 7.
Marshall Academy officials asked for prayers for the school’s faculty, students, baseball team and especially for Cutter’s family.
“Please pray for the MA faculty, administrators, and students who loved Cutter,” the post said. “Please pray for the MA Patriots baseball team who considered him a brother. And most especially, pray for Cutter’s precious family as they deal with what must come.”
Cutter was reportedly headed to baseball practice when the accident happened.
Officials with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department report that only one vehicle was involved in the accident.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the sheriff’s department.
