The discovery of marijuana and firearms inside a Mississippi residence led to the arrest of a man who is being charged with one count of intent to distribute marijuana and one count of tampering with evidence.

On March 6, 2024, the Gulfport Police Department arrested 26-year-old Terry Terrale Young and charged him with one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and one count of Tampering with Evidence.

On March 6, 2024, at 7:09 p.m., following a month-long investigation, the Gulfport Police Anti-Crime Unit, accompanied by members of the Gulfport Police SWAT Team, served a search warrant in the 1700 block of 65th Avenue.

Upon entry, Detectives encountered several individuals inside the apartment, where Young was caught in the act of attempting to dispose of marijuana by flushing it down the toilet. Subsequently, Detectives seized over 708 grams of marijuana, alongside seven firearms, including rifles, handguns, and extended magazines found within the residence.

Young was processed and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center to be held in lieu of his $20,000 bond.
