Two children injured during shooting at Mississippi apartment complex

Two children were shot during a shooting at a Mississippi apartment complex.
The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident on Facebook:
On Thursday, March 7, at approximately 8:45 p.m., the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received a call from an individual at a home located on Beatline Road, stating that an individual had been shot.
Sheriff deputies and first responders were dispatched to the area. Upon arrival, sheriff deputies made contact with an individual who stated her two juvenile children had sustained gunshot injuries. Pafford arrived on scene and treated the individuals.
One victim is 16 years old and the other is 14. The 16-year-old was transported via Wings to Regional Medical Center in Memphis, TN. The 14-year-old was taken by Pafford to Regional Medical Center in Memphis, TN. Both victims are expected to survive.
During the preliminary phase of the investigation, investigators learned that the shooting happened at Cottonland Village Apartments, outside, located at 1655 Beatline Road in Tunica, MS. While on scene, sheriff deputies observed an apartment had been struck by gunfire as well.
