Mississippi Skies: Clouds return to Mississippi Tuesday. Is rainy weather arriving, too?

Tuesday will be quite nice in northern Mississippi and the Gulf Coast, but central and southern Mississippi will have a return to cloudy skies by the end of the day.
Clouds will cover the rest of us by Wednesday with temperatures staying in the 70s during the day.
We’re still watching moist forecast models for later this week. From the National Weather Service in Jackson:
“A period of locally heavy rain is expected to begin late Thursday and persist into the weekend. Two to four inches of rainfall, with locally higher amounts, is possible through the duration, with some occurring in a short period of time. This environment will support a limited threat for flash flooding, particularly in low lying & urban areas. Minor river flooding is possible & moderate river flooding can’t be ruled out.”
