A Mississippi police department recently made several arrests, including the capture of a man considered “armed and dangerous” in Maryland.
A call was dispatched Saturday around or a little after noon in the area of Country Meadows off of Highway 7 North in Grenada County.
The nature of the call was a white male on a commercial property in that area that was trespassing and allegedly taking items off the property. Once a deputy arrived, contact was made with the victim. The victim stated that a resident in the neighborhood had contacted them about the white male in question being on the commercial property. The victim was able to point out the residence in which the white male went to after leaving the commercial property.
A deputy then went to the residence in question, being 699 Country Meadows Road. Once on scene, the deputy encountered four people unknown to him, and asked for their names and identification as part of his investigation into the original incident. The deputy ran a Maryland ID that came back to the original suspect, William Dunn.
Dunn was wanted out of Maryland and was considered armed and dangerous through the NCIC database. Two females on scene gave the deputy false identifying information, and one more male on scene identified as Santonio Horton was wanted by the City of Grenada.
Around this time, Dunn and one of the females ran back into the house. The deputy notified other units that he needed assistance at this location. Upon the arrival of other deputies, all persons were taken into custody.
While locating the female that ran back into the residence after giving a false name, Myra Jenkins (real name) was taken into custody after a brief struggle with deputies. She was in possession of an alleged controlled substance at the time of this incident.
The remaining female, positively identified as Zelma Hogan, was taken into custody on a warrant for the City of Grenada, as well as for giving false identifying information. Due to the nature of the narcotics found during the arrest of Jenkins, a search warrant was obtained for the residence.
Upon execution of the search warrant, a large amount of what is believed to be Ice/Methamphetamine was located during the search. Also located were the items that were taken during the origination of this incident.
All four individuals were transported to Grenada County Jail and booked on charges in relation to the incident.

1. William Donald Dunn Jr., Caucasian male, 56 years of age; charged with Possession/Trafficking a Controlled Substance and is being held for extradition to the State of Maryland, bond set at $15,000.00.
