For five years, Adams County deputies have been searching for a man wanted for attempted murder for reportedly firing multiple gunshots into an occupied vehicle.
Since then, authorities believe that Jamionte Davis was also involved in a 2023 shooting that killed two people and injured three others.
Davis tops the Most Wanted list recently issued by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
The ACSO wants Davis for attempted murder and aggravated assault charges as they relate to an Aug. 29, 2018, shooting incident.
Since then, he has also been wanted by the Natchez Police Department on warrants for two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder. This is related to a May 5, 2023, deadly shooting in the parking lot of the strip mall behind Popeye’s Restaurant on D’Evereux Drive, which killed Travione Jones, 19, and Devin Winchester, also 19.
Three others were also struck by bullets in the crowded parking lot but survived their injuries.
A Crime Stoppers reward of $5,000 has been offered for information leading to Davis’ arrest and conviction. Contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-442-5001.
Davis’ last known address is 726 Lower Woodville Road, Natchez, Mississippi 39120.
His date of birth is Sept. 21, 2000, and he is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 145 pounds.
