A Mississippi school bus filled with students was involved in a wreck with a car Friday morning.

WJTV News in Jackson reports that one student was sent to the hospital.

The wreck occurred at approximately 7 a.m. Friday at U.S. 49 and Cleary Road in Rankin County.

The bus was reportedly filled with students going to school Friday morning.

Officials with the Rankin County School District have said that parents and guardians of the students involved in the wreck have been notified.

At least two ambulances were on the scene.

Firefighters and other emergency personnel also responded to the wreck.
