A Mississippi police department has a suspect in custody after finding a 67-year-old man dead in an apartment.

According to the Corinth Police Department, officers responded to an apartment at 3600 Tinin Drive Monday morning after a report of a deceased man. An investigation determined the man had been murdered and a person of interest was taken into custody.

“This is an ongoing investigation and no charges have been filed at this time,” a statement from the department reads.
