We’ll close out our weekend with another fantastic day Sunday with plenty of sun and temperatures around 80. We’ll be breezy across the Magnolia State.
This weather continues into Monday with more humid conditions arriving Tuesday. Rain and storms are possible in northern and central Mississippi with chances arriving Tuesday and continuing until Friday. The southern and Gulf Coast regions will stay mostly dry most of the week.
We could have some strong to severe storms Tuesday into Tuesday night, especially in the Delta and northwestern Mississippi. We’ll continue watching the forecast models and Storm Prediction Center statement to get better details as we get close to time.
There are not many details about the potential for bad weather other than the following statement from the National Weather Service:
“Severe thunderstorms will be possible across portions of northeast Louisiana, southeast Arkansas, and northwest Mississippi Tuesday into Tuesday night. As this potential event is still several days away, please stay tuned for any updates to timing and impacts.”
