25-year-old woman killed in early morning wreck on Mississippi highway

A 25-year-old woman was killed, and another passenger was seriously injured in a wreck after their vehicle ran off a Mississippi highway and overturned several times.
According to officials, a 2013 Ford Mustang driven by Kayla Winstead, 25, of Irvington, Ala., and occupied by one other passenger was traveling southbound on Highway 613 in Jackson County at around 2:30 a.m.
The vehicle traveled off the roadway and overturned several times.
The passenger received serious injuries. Winstead received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
