Two people killed after 350,000 pound load breaks free from trailer lands on nearby car

Two people were killed when a 350,000 pound load broke loose from a trailer and fell on a nearby vehicle Saturday.
Firefighters in Temple responded to a collision on State Highway 36 shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday and discovered a vehicle crushed under the massive piece of cargo.
Temple is approximately 120 miles south of Fort Worth.
Three people were inside the vehicle. Two passengers were killed. The third person in the vehicle was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after rescuers spent more than four hours extricating the victim from the wreckage.
Officials continue to investigate the wreck and how the massive load broke loose from the trailer.
