A Mississippi woman died in a house fire early Tuesday morning.

WJTV in Jackson reports that the Gluckstadt Fire Department and the Farmhaven Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire call on Barnes Road off of Ratliff Ferry Road in Madison County shortly before 6 a.m.

The Madison County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 53-year-old Wendy Parker.

The Madison County EOC, Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshal’s Office also responded to the scene.

The fire is currently under investigation.
