A man in an electric wheelchair died after being hit by a large truck.

WLOX News in Biloxi reports that the vehicle that hit the man was described as a garbage truck.

The incident happened Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Old Mobile Highway and Market Street in Pascagoula, near a McDonald’s restaurant.

The man, who was identified as Jackie Davis, was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
