A man riding a bicycle Sunday morning was killed, Mississippi police said.

The collision occurred at approximately 6 a.m. on the Interstate 20 East Frontage Road near Gallatin Street in Jackson, police said.

The bicyclist was killed instantly, police said.

The matter is under investigation but police said the driver was not charged. The bicyclist was apparently riding in the middle of the road, police said.
