A Mississippi teenage boy was shot to death early Monday, police said.

Police were called at approximately 1:28 a.m. Monday by a caller reporting a shooting in the 100 block of Darby Street in Gulfport.

When officers arrived they found the gunshot victim, a 16-year-old boy. The teen was transported to a local hospital for treatment, but was later pronounced dead from his injuries.

Police said early Monday they had not made any arrests. Investigators have also not released any details around the shooting or the victim’s name.
