A 2-year-old child was killed after an accidental shooting on Friday.

Breezy News in Kosciusko reports that the Atalla County Coroner’s Office confirmed that 2-year-old Isaiah Taylor, of Attala County, was fatally injured in a tragic accident. Officials say Taylor was killed during an accidental firearm discharge.

Officials with the Attala County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident involving a juvenile at approximately 7 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2024.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the family with the expenses of the unexpected death.

“We are all in shock and heartbroken with the loss of our precious boy,” the grandmother posted on the GoFundMe account page. “He had a smile that would light up a room. Never met a stranger, he loved helping around the house.”
