Three men have been arrested in connection with the burglary of a Mississippi pawn shop.
Harrison County authorities announced on Friday the arrest of Aalayah Fortenberry, 18, Curtis Dickey Jr., 18, and Archie Lockett, 21, all from Gulfport and linked to the burglary of Friendly Pawn Shop in Saucier.
The incident occurred Thursday when deputies responded to an alarm at the shop, discovering that the front glass door had been shattered and several firearms stolen.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office revealed that surveillance footage provided a description of the vehicle used in the crime. Later that day, deputies located the vehicle on Highway 49 near Highway 53 in Gulfport. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the recovery of multiple firearms reported missing from the pawn shop.
Fortenberry, Dickey Jr. and Lockett were apprehended and charged with one felony count of commercial burglary. They were transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
Fortenberry and Lockett are being held on $25,000 bonds each, while Dickey’s bond was set at $40,000.
The quick response and effective use of surveillance footage by the deputies were instrumental in the timely capture and arrest of the suspects involved in the burglary.
