Mississippi man accused of supplying gun, ammunition in murder-for-hire scheme

A man has been arrested for allegedly attempting to initiate a murder-for-hire plot targeting two individuals in Smith County. The arrest occurred on June 23, according to the Smith County Sheriff’s Office.

Randall Hutchinson, a Smith County resident, is accused of orchestrating a plan to have two residents killed in exchange for $12,000. The identities of the intended victims and their connection to Hutchinson have not been disclosed.

Authorities reported that Hutchinson approached an individual with the proposal, supplying them with a firearm, gloves, and ammunition intended for use in the planned murders. However, investigators acted swiftly to intercept the plot and prevent any potential harm.
