Waffle House in Mississippi city to only serve to-go on late night weekends out of safety concerns

Four Mississippi Waffle Houses will only serve to-go orders on weekend evenings after 11 p.m. due to safety concerns.

Company officials posted the news on social media and said the changes will affect all four locations in Vicksburg.

The Vicksburg Post reports that Hope Baker, a Waffle House division manager, said all four Vicksburg locations will begin serving only to-go orders on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. beginning Friday, July 12.

Baker said the changes were made out of safety concerns.

“We will also increase security,” Baker said in the post. “I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but ultimately the decision is being made for the safety of our employees and customers.”
