A Texas man has been arrested after Mississippi deputies found 44 pounds of methamphetamine in his vehicle.

On Monday, a Rankin County deputy stopped a Ford truck on Interstate 20 for an unspecified violation.

The deputy suspected the driver, Arnol Zamora, 35, of drug trafficking.

Backup arrived, and a K-9 unit named Voodoo was deployed to search the vehicle. The dog alerted officers, leading to a search of the truck.

Investigators found a cardboard box in the rear passenger area containing a significant quantity of drugs.
