Sheriff: Woman walking out of restroom at Mississippi nightclub struck by bullet

A woman who was leaving the women’s restroom at a Mississippi nightclub Sunday morning was struck by a bullet.

Officials with the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office issued a news release about the incident on social media on Sunday.

The incident happened on July 28 at 2:00 a.m. at Da Spot Club at 10500 Road 410 in Union, Mississippi.

Deputies responded to a 911 call about shots being fired outside the club.

Officials believe that when gunfire erupted outside of the club, a bullet entered the building and went through an interior wall.

The bullet struck the 57-year-old woman as she attempted to leave the ladies restroom in the back of the building.

Evidence was collected at the scene, including multiple spent handgun rounds from the parking areas and the adjacent roadway.

Several witnesses have been questioned.
