Two Mississippi teens killed in late night wreck on interstate

Two Mississippi teens were killed in a late-night car accident on the interstate.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol reports that the two teens were killed in an accident at approximately 11 p.m. on I-269 in Desoto County Sunday.

According to a press release, a 2013 GMC Sierra traveled north when it left the roadway and rolled over several times.

A 17-year-old passenger died on the scene, and an 18-year-old passenger died at a local hospital.

Both of them were from Byhalia.

The 17-year-old driver from Olive Branch was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
