A Louisiana grand jury has indicted a Mississippi man on murder charges related to an argument on an interstate onramp that escalated into a fatal shooting.
Amanvir Singh, 34, a resident of Flowood, has been charged with second-degree murder following the fatal shooting of a truck driver during a road rage incident on Interstate 20 in Greenwood.
Singh was arrested and extradited to Caddo Parish in connection with the April 23, 2024, killing of Gurpreet Singh Judge.
According to authorities, the incident occurred when the two men were seen arguing outside their vehicles on the westbound onramp at Exit 3. Judge attempted to flee towards the interstate, but Singh allegedly shot him before driving away in a dark-colored SUV.
After an investigation, Singh was identified as the primary suspect. With the assistance of Mississippi law enforcement, he was apprehended and transported to Louisiana, where he was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on May 2, 2024. His bond has been set at $1.2 million.
Singh now faces second-degree murder charges in connection with Judge’s death. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
