Two killed in crash between ATV and SUV hauling boat on Mississippi highway

Two people were killed in a Labor Day crash between an ATV and an SUV hauling a boat on a rural Mississippi highway.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol reports that the two people who were riding the ATV were killed in the crash.

Officials say the crash occurred on Highway 365 in Prentiss County at approximately 2 p.m. Monday.

The ATV involved in the crash was reportedly leaving a private driveway onto Highway 365 when it was struck by a Ford Expedition hauling a boat.

The driver of the ATV, Billie J. Moss, 82, was airlifted to a Tupelo hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officials say that Billie J. Moss Jr., 61, who was a passenger on the ATV, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The ATV’s passenger, Billie J. Moss Jr., 61, was pronounced dead at the scene, the MHP said.

Both of the victims were from Tishomingo.

The driver of the Ford Expedition was not injured in the crash.
