Two people, including a Mississippi high school senior, were killed in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol reports that the fatal crash occurred in Grenada County on Highway 7 shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1.
Killed in the crash were 18-year-old Robert Noah of Jackson and 74-year-old Lizzie Tucker of Texas.
Officials say Noah was driving a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek south on the highway when it collided with a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer, driven by 35-year-old Peaches McMurry of Batesville, traveling north.
Noah, a senior at Madison-Ridglelan Academy, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Tucker was a passenger in the Jeep.
Officials from MRA posted a statement about Noah’s death.
“Words fail to adequately express the immense grief that our MRA Family has experienced in the loss of our friend and classmate Robert Noah. We pray specifically for the Noah family, along with our students — especially the senior class, and our MRA faculty and staff.”
The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
