Mississippi law enforcement is looking for a man who reportedly killed his 63-year-old mother after—physically attacking her inside her house.

Jackson Police are looking for 42-Jerry Banks, who police say is currently on the run.

Officials say 63-year-old Louise Torns was killed in her home on Carver Street on Wednesday. Torns reportedly died from blunt-force trauma after being physically attacked by Banks, her son.

According to witnesses, Banks chased another woman with a knife. The woman, identified as Torns’ aunt, fled the house and hid in a closet in her home across the street.

Family members say Torns was the mother of eight children—four daughters and four sons.
