Three juveniles are facing charges after allegedly setting a fire inside the Walmart store on West Main Street, according to the Tupelo Police Department. The incident occurred on the evening of Tuesday, September 10.

The suspects are accused of starting the fire by igniting a bouquet of fake flowers in the arts and crafts section of the store. While the store’s sprinkler system successfully extinguished the flames, it left behind water damage.

Tupelo Police have arrested two of the three suspects, while the third remains at large. Due to their ages, police have not released the names of the individuals involved. Their cases will be handled in youth court, authorities said.
