A Mississippi man who was reported missing in August has been found deceased.

The body of Kenneth Walters, 43, was discovered on Wednesday, October 2, near a gravel pit in a wooded area off Browns Ridge Road near Dixie in Forrest County. Forrest County Coroner Lisa Klem confirmed that no foul play is suspected in Walters’ death.

Walters was last seen on Tuesday, August 27, at Keith’s Superstore on Moselle-Seminary Road in Moselle. According to his family, he was on his way to work but never arrived.

Authorities were able to trace his last cellphone activity to the area of Morrow Road between Purvis and Hattiesburg.

The investigation is ongoing as officials work to determine the exact cause of Walters’ death.
